Doctorow on the Digital Economy

Cory Doctorow gave this talk in the summer of 2008 in Cambridge, UK, as part of the Cambridge Business Lectures, entitled, "Life in the Information Economy." This is an excellent discussion of copyright, digital rights management, the information economy, the Internet as a "digital copying" mechanism for dispersing information worldwide, the fact that the Internet as a cheap way to fail creates a great engine for success, the Internet as an engine of business, the Internet as the heart of citizenship & relationships, etc. This is an hour lecture so it requires a significant "investment" of your time, but it is well worth it:
