Long Running Temperature Data Set and England's Record December Cold

Here is a graph of December temperatures over the past 350 from central England. As you can see, there is an obvious warming trend as these measurements rapidly rise toward the heat death that awaits us all...

Sorry... I can't resist poking fun at the "global warming" crowd who insist that we are on a dangerous runaway escalation of global temperatures. Unfortunately, a dataset such as the above gives the lie to the hysteria promulgated by the IPCC and the inner circle of climatologists who are milking doom-and-gloom for all it is worth.

You can find this graph with associated commentary at the Watts Up With That? blog:
The Central England Temperature record is one of the longest continuous temperature record in the world extending back to the Little Ice age in 1659. December 2010 was the coldest December in 120 years with an average of -0.7C just short of the record of -0.8C recorded in December 1890 and the Second Coldest December Temperature in the entire record (352 years).
The post on this blog is complaining that the MET office in the UK is "burying" the above graph because it is inconvenient for the official position of the MET office that we are in an dangerous period of runaway greenhouse warming that spells the end of snow for northern regions and the heat death of the planet.

For a bit more entertainment, go read this BBC article and watch the video on the heaviest snowfall in a century to hit Korea.

By now, everybody is aware that the white cold stuff is just another sign of global warming. Record low temperatures are yet another sign of global warming. It is amazing how you can get the same conclusion from divergent facts if you simply put on the right ideological glasses!
